DSR Carbon effectively lowers nitrate levels by gradually increasing daily doses in 20% increments until you reach your desired value or the maximum dose. If you notice haze or if the nitrate level is less than 0.5 ppm, consider halving the dosage.

Dosage guidelines:

• Minimum dosage: 0.5 ml per 100 liters
• Maximum dosage: 5 ml per 100 liters

CarbonVS not only stimulates but also maintains a healthy bacterial culture, making it an excellent food source for sponges and filter feeders. Therefore, it is important to always keep a minimum dosage of CarbonVS. If needed, you can add DSR NO3+ to help maintain nitrate levels.

Using carbon sources like vinegar or sugar can help lower nitrate levels while also consuming phosphate, which may lead to a decrease in haze.
