Aquaforest Carbon effectively removes unwanted chemical compounds from both marine and freshwater aquariums. For optimal results, it is recommended to use 100 ml of carbon for every 100 liters (27 US gallons) of water in a marine aquarium, or 200 liters (54 US gallons) in a freshwater aquarium.

It is important to replace the carbon insert every 4 weeks to maintain a healthy aquarium environment.
