Sulfur pearls are special beads made from pure sulfur. They serve as both the filter medium and an energy source for bacteria in sulfur nitrate reducers. It is important to note that these pearls will need to be replaced periodically, as the bacteria gradually consume them.

Caution: Please use sulfur pearls only in nitrate-removing anaerobic filters that have a low water flow rate.
