Reef Interests PX Pro 500ml / 500gr
Phosphates are essential components for biomolecules like DNA, RNA, and proteins, which can promote the growth of aquatic life such as fish, shrimp, and corals. However, overfeeding your animals can lead to elevated phosphate levels that become harmful rather than beneficial for both corals and fish. Depending on the type of feed utilized (some contain high levels of inorganic phosphates) or the method of nitrate removal, an excess of phosphates may accumulate, necessitating additional media to eliminate this surplus from your aquarium water.
Many commonly used phosphate removers are based on Granular Ferric Oxide/Hydroxide, often referred to as GFO. Not all GFO varieties are equally effective in marine water systems. PX Pro is a high-quality GFO that works exceptionally well in marine environments. Additionally, PX Pro can be conveniently regenerated using PXR.
PX Pro is suitable for use in a fluidized filter with moderate water flow, or it can simply be placed in a filter bag that allows for water flow. One liter of PX Pro can effectively treat 500-1000-liter tanks, removing 3-6 ppm of PO4.
EASY REGENERATION
PX-R
We have developed a simple and quick method for regenerating GFO that is NOT based on NaOH. Each 1-liter GFO box includes an extra pouch containing 40 grams of regeneration powder.
How to use:
- Rinse your saturated PX Pro with regular tap water at least three times to eliminate any detritus.
- Dissolve the PXR powder in 1 liter of tap water, then add the saturated PX Pro and stir for a few minutes.
- Allow it to sit for approximately 10 minutes before removing the regeneration buffer.
- Rinse two or three times with at least 1 liter of tap water and once with 1 liter of tank water. Let it stand in tank water for 5 minutes before use.
- Reinsert the PX Pro into your fluidized filter and reconnect the filter to your tank.
