CONTENT: Millions of live natural marine bacteria in depot balls designed for marine aquariums. Bacto Reef Balls 100ml contains approximately 110 spheres, each about 1cm in average diameter.

DOSING: Use 2 Reef Balls for every 100 liters (26.4 US gallons) every 2 weeks, placing them directly in your filter. Please avoid allowing the balls to enter a pump. Reef Balls are made from a biodegradable polymer, and variations in size and rates are normal.

Special Composition: The unique formulation of our carrier material has been specifically developed for use in seawater, allowing for a steady supply of diverse bacteria cultures to be introduced into the aquarium. Other materials, such as standard gel, act as an additional carbon source, dissolving too quickly and making controlled delivery impossible.

Ingeniously Simplified Dosing: Bacto Reef Balls are incredibly easy to use. Simply place the necessary amount of Reef Balls into your filter and replace them every 2 weeks when the original sphere dissolves. Our seawater-stable polymer matrix allows for a gradual release of bacteria into the aquarium, eliminating the need for daily dosing and preventing unwanted dosage peaks.

Natural and Reef Safe: Bacto Reef Balls is the first bacteria-based product to utilize time-release technology in a sphere. Both the bacteria and the carrier material are 100% reef safe, promoting a healthy and natural aquarium. Once the bacteria is introduced, it begins its work, reducing nitrogens and phosphates. Our bacterial blend has been specifically developed to meet the needs of reef aquariums by providing a stable and diverse culture. Any excess bacteria can serve as a food source for corals and protozoa and will be skimmed by a protein skimmer.

DOSAGE: Use two (2) BACTO REEF BALLS per 100 liters (26.4 US gallons) and replace every 2 weeks. Begin with half the recommended dosage to assess the specific needs of your aquarium. Place Bacto Reef Balls in a high-flow area of your filter. We suggest using a filter bag or stocking. In aquariums without a skimmer, start with a quarter of the dosage.

TIPS:

• Ensure the balls are not placed near the suction of a pump.
• BACTO REEF BALLS dissolve slowly upon contact with water over the next 2-4 weeks, introducing natural bacteria and a highly effective enzyme solution into the water.
• After adding BACTO REEF BALLS, you may notice a significant increase in skimmer performance. This is the first sign of enhanced nutritional degradation. By adjusting the amount of BACTO REEF BALLS, you can determine the specific needs of your aquarium.
• A general dosage cannot be specified due to the individuality of aquariums and their stocking levels.
• We recommend starting with half the recommended dose and gradually increasing the amount of BACTO REEF BALLS until you reach your desired values. Regular water testing is advised.

STORAGE: BACTO REEF BALLS contain live bacteria that are securely housed in their protective gel casing. After opening, please store the product in a dark and cool area. Use the container of BACTO REEF BALLS within 6-9 months of opening.
