Coral Essentials Calcium Part A – 500ml
Coral Essentials Calcium Part A is a concentrated source of liquid calcium, providing 200,000 ppm (mg/L). Calcium is a crucial element in the formation of calcium carbonate skeletons, which is vital for coral growth.
It is important to regularly check the calcium levels in your marine tank to understand how much is being utilized in your system. You can determine the calcium consumption by testing at consistent intervals and observing how much the calcium level decreases during that time. This will allow you to easily calculate the dosing requirements based on the depletion rate.
After you establish these parameters, it is essential to continue monitoring the calcium levels regularly. Your tank will evolve over time as corals grow and new pieces, along with invertebrates that also require calcium, are introduced.
We have found that maintaining calcium levels around 430-470 ppm is ideal for most aquariums. If you aim to support robust growth in an SPS and hard coral dominant system, levels above 470 ppm are desirable.
Dosage rate: 5 ml will raise the calcium levels by 10 ppm (mg/L) for each 100 L of tank water.
