Red Cyano Rx is designed to swiftly and effectively eliminate disease-causing cyano bacteria from live rock, live coral, and live sand in your saltwater aquarium. What is great about this product is that it does so without harming any of your aquarium’s inhabitants, including beneficial bacteria, when used as directed. Unlike other treatments, Red Cyano Rx will not discolor the water in your aquarium. It is reef safe, quick, and effective, although it may not be suitable for use with sponges.

How to use the product:

• For optimal results, begin by siphoning out as much cyano bacteria as possible from your aquarium.
• Remove one cup of water from your aquarium.
• Mix one level scoop of Red Cyano Rx in the cup for every 38 liters (10 gallons) of water in your aquarium.
• Dissolve thoroughly and pour the solution back into the aquarium.

After 24 hours of completing the treatment, perform a 25% water change. You may then turn your protein skimmer back on and resume using carbon and ozone, although you might notice some extra foam produced by your skimmer. If cyano bacteria are still present 48 hours after treatment, perform another 25% water change and repeat the dosage.

Note: It is advisable to ensure that the pH in your aquarium is greater than 8.0 before adding Red Cyano Rx. The ideal time to start treatment is in the morning, when the lighting first comes on. Additionally, it is crucial to perform a 25% water change within 12 hours following each dose. During the treatment period, you will need to stop using carbon and protein skimming (or simply remove the cup) and ozone. Please avoid dosing in the evenings when the lighting is turned off.

The package is capable of treating up to 1514 liters (400 gallons).
