The Reef Octopus VarioS DC pumps provide enhanced performance and precise control of flow for your aquarium’s reactors, sump, or closed-loop system. With complete control through the VarioS Controller, you can easily:

Control

The safe and energy-efficient VarioS DC pump now includes the new VarioS controller, giving you even more control. With five different energy-saving speeds and two feed modes, the controller allows you to monitor your pump’s operation at a glance.

Third Party Control

There is a dedicated port on the VarioS controller that allows you to connect your VarioS pump directly to any third-party controller via a 0-10V reference port. Controlling your pump with a system like an Apex enables you to create custom flow profiles, which can be especially useful for closed-loop systems that generate random flow throughout your aquarium.

Safety

Having a pump that accommodates a direct attachment for a float switch offers several benefits. The float switch enables you to set high or low points in your sump, skimmer cup, or display tank, shutting off the pump when activated. The VarioS controller also includes a waterproof three-conductor union that connects to the pump, ensuring a safe and detachable connection.
