Aquaforest Bio Sand is a natural white sand with a granulation of 0.5-1.5 mm, enriched with nitrifying bacteria. It is completely free of contaminants, and its calcium carbonate content plays a crucial role in stabilizing your water chemistry.

The advanced technology behind AF Bio Sand significantly speeds up the maturation process of your aquarium, allowing you to introduce livestock to a newly set up tank more quickly. The included bottles contain laboratory-isolated strains of nitrifying bacteria along with nourishment to aid their growth and multiplication.

This specialized formula guarantees a swift closure of the nitrogen cycle and the rapid elimination of harmful chemical compounds, much faster than traditional substrates. Additionally, AF Bio Sand is incredibly easy to use, enabling quick preparation for your aquarium. Its versatility means it can also serve as a substrate supplement in mature tanks.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:

• It is normal for sand residue to appear during transport, and it is safe for your aquarium. However, to avoid water turbidity, we strongly advise rinsing the sand in RODI water before use.
• Pour the contents of both bottles into 3 liters of saltwater and mix thoroughly.
• Add this mixture to the sand bag and leave it for 24 hours. To encourage bacterial multiplication, do not close the bag.
• Do not store the mixture in cool places, as this can significantly slow down bacterial growth.
• The optimal temperature for sand maturation is around 25-28°C (77-82°F).

After 24 hours, your sand will be ready for use in the aquarium. Please keep this product away from children. It is intended for aquarium use only and is not suitable for human consumption.
