Coral Essentials Coral Power Phosphate Up has been specially designed to help with the uptake of nitrate in aquarium systems. This phosphate-based nutrient source, combined with naturally occurring bacteria, creates an ideal environment for nitrification, ensuring the absorption of excess dissolved organics.

In Ultra Low Nutrient Systems (ULNS), coral can exhibit poor coloration and become unhealthy if there is a lack of available phosphate. It is recommended to use Coral Power Phosphate Up when you are unable to achieve the phosphate levels necessary for a balanced carbon/nitrate/phosphate system. When nitrate and phosphate are maintained at the right levels, coral will exhibit more vibrant and colorful hues. For optimal results, Coral Essentials suggests keeping the phosphate level between 0.01 ppm and 0.05 ppm.

Manual Dosing

For ULNS systems, it is advisable to start with dosing 1 drop (0.05 ml) per day for each 100 L (26 gallons) of tank water. You may adjust the dosing above or below this recommendation based on your specific tank conditions and the density of coral present.

Advanced Dosing

For those who are more experienced, 1 ml of Coral Power Phosphate Up will increase the phosphate levels by 0.01 ppm (mg/L) for each 100 L (26 gallons) of tank water. If you prefer drop dosing, 2 drops (0.1 ml) will raise the phosphate levels by 0.001 ppm in 100 L. If you are aware of the phosphate depletion rate in your system, please dose accordingly based on the information provided above.
