Seachem Reef Phytoplankton is a Concentrated blend of green and brown marine phytoplankton
Reef Phytoplankton is a concentrated blend of green and brown marine phytoplankton specially designed to provide essential fatty acids, proteins, vitamins, amino acids, and biological carotenoids for the diet of invertebrates. The size of the phytoplankton ranges from 1 to 20 μm, making it suitable for a wide variety of tropical marine aquarium filter feeders and invertebrates.
Seachem Reef Phytoplankton offers a natural source of carotenoids, which not only supply essential proteins but also provide a more bioavailable source of pigmentation compared to other natural sources and synthetic pigments. These carotenoids come with the added benefit of antioxidant activity.
Additionally, Reef Phytoplankton™ is enhanced to improve the bioavailability of important nutrients such as proteins, lipids, B vitamins, and other organic pigments. This enhancement allows corals to expend less energy to obtain these nutritional benefits. The blend is carefully formulated to achieve the right balance of fatty acids, carbohydrates, and proteins, ensuring better nutritional value. Studies * have demonstrated that filter feeders consume more phytoplankton when using mixed cultures rather than a single culture.

Directions
Shake well before using. Add 1 capful (5 mL) per 200 L (50 US gallons) of water twice weekly or as needed to support coral growth. For optimal results, dose directly into the aquarium; target feeding may overwhelm corals and negatively affect them. While refrigeration after opening is recommended, it is not mandatory.
