Seachem Reef Dip 250 ml Elemental iodine complex to disinfect corals especially after fragging
Reef Dip is formulated with an elemental iodine complex that is combined with a protective slime coat, making it a safe and gentle choice for disinfecting corals. It effectively targets bacteria, fungi, and protozoans, and can be used either as a preventive measure or to treat diseased specimens. This product is suitable for both stony and soft corals, as well as for anemones and polyps.
Seachem Reef Dip provides a protective slime coat that envelops the coral, ensuring that the iodine remains in contact with the affected area for an extended duration. Additionally, the slime coat helps to prevent reinfection at the treatment site.
Directions
- Do not use in the aquarium.
- Prepare a separate container. Remove 4 liters (1 US gallon) of water from the aquarium to a suitable container for dipping.
- Add 5–10 mL (1–2 capfuls) of Seachem Reef Dip and mix thoroughly.
- Place the coral specimen in the dip for 15–30 minutes, depending on the severity of the issue. In very severe cases, a double dose may be applied. For visible lesions, you may apply the dip concentrate directly onto the lesions before immersing the coral in the dip.
- Monitor the animals during treatment for signs of adverse reactions, such as excessive sliming.
