Easylife NITRO is used to prevent nitrogen (N) shortages in the freshwater aquarium
Easylife NITRO is an essential macronutrient that plays a crucial role in maintaining a healthy freshwater aquarium. Both Easy-Life Nitro and Easy-Life Phospho are designed to address deficiencies in nitrogen (N) and phosphorus (P), respectively. When these macro-elements are lacking, you may notice that plant growth slows down or even becomes stunted.
In aquariums that have few or no fish, deficiencies in nitrogen and phosphorus can develop quickly. This happens because fish food, which is a primary source of these nutrients, is limited. The same issue can arise in aquariums with a very high plant density, where nutrient competition is high.
To combat these deficiencies, Nitro (which contains nitrate NO3) and Phosfo (which contains phosphate PO4) can be used to supplement your aquarium’s nutrient levels immediately. The balance between nitrate (NO3) and phosphate (PO4) is often evaluated using the Redfield ratio.
For effective use, after conducting a measurement, you should add 10 ml per 500 liters, which will increase the NO3 concentration by 2.0 mg/L and the K concentration by 1.3 mg/L. Additionally, it is important to note that this product is phosphate-free.
