The HI780-25 reagents are designed for efficiency, allowing users to achieve fast and accurate measurements with their Marine pH Checker^® HC. These reagents utilize the Phenol Red method, which produces a color change that is dependent on pH levels. By simply adding five drops from the reagent bottle to the sample, the interaction between the sample and the reagent causes a color shift from yellow to red. The intensity of the color is measured with a compatible photometer, and the concentration will be displayed in pH units with a resolution of 0.1 pH.
