Tropic Marin Bio-Strontium 200 g supplement for reef aquariums

Our Tropic Marin Bio-Strontium provides essential strontium and carbon dioxide for the zooxanthellae in a biologically ideal crystalline form, supporting the healthy growth of corals. It does not contain any chelates, phosphates, or nitrates.

For the growth and well-being of reef-building corals, it is equally important to ensure a sufficient supply of strontium, just as it is with calcium and magnesium. Although strontium is found in seawater in much smaller amounts, biological processes, precipitation, and incorporation into the calcium skeleton can still lead to a deficiency in strontium.

• Calcium and sodium salts
• Bicarbonate
• Trace elements

Application & Dosage:

To use Tropic Marin Bio-Strontium, simply add it directly onto the surface of the aquarium or sump water while stirring. Please ensure that no undissolved crystals come into contact with the marine life. One level measuring spoon (5 ml/0.17 fl. oz.) will increase the strontium level of 100 liters (26 US gallons) by approximately 5 mg/l (ppm). The natural concentration of seawater is around 8 mg/l (ppm).

Basic dosage: We recommend using one level measuring spoon per 50 US gallons (190 liters) every two weeks. If your aquarium has a high population density, you may consider doubling the dosage.

Attention: Please be cautious, as high strontium concentrations in the aquarium may harm corals. It is important to monitor the strontium concentration regularly.
