Neptune Systems Trident DIY Service Kit
The DIY Service Kit is a fantastic option for customers who prefer to handle the recommended service themselves. This option is best suited for those who consider themselves “mechanically inclined” and can follow instructions effectively.
Note: The DIY Service Kit should only be chosen if your Trident is in good working order. This kit is generally not designed to make a non-working Trident functional again.
Why and When Should I Service My Trident?
During the Trident product launch, we stated, “We recommend that the Trident undergo a routine service for a small number of its parts within an 18-24 month window. While we will provide a kit for customers to perform this maintenance themselves, we strongly encourage sending the Trident to our service center for this service.”
Initially, we had a general idea of which parts needed attention, but it was only after Tridents had been in operation for a significant period that we could confirm those details. We also had an estimate of when parts would need replacing, but that was based on our best guess at the time.
Fast forward nearly two years, and we now have a clearer understanding of what needs servicing, and more importantly, when those services should occur. We recommend, but do not require, that your Neptune Systems Trident receives preventative service between 24-36 months of operation.
While some Tridents may need servicing before this recommended interval, such cases are exceptions rather than the norm.
The complete service includes:
-
Replacement Peristaltic Pump Head
One of the most vital components for a well-operating Trident is the pump head. This ensures precision, so keeping it in good condition is a top priority.
-
Cuvette and Tubing
The cuvette is where the color titration occurs to determine your parameter levels. Over time, it can become stained and discolored.
-
Internal Tubing Assembly
Some internal tubing in the Trident may wear out over time. We replace this with new tubing to ensure continued operation.
-
Trident Sample Line Filter
Optional: For Tridents used in systems with high levels of particulate matter in the water, a sample line filter can be installed to help prevent clogs and blockages.
-
Sample & Waste Line plus Connectors
The external sample and waste lines can become clogged over time with extended use. Fresh lines will help prevent this issue, and we have included new connectors to further minimize clogging.
