Apex Automatic Feeding System
The Apex Automatic Feeding System (AFS) allows you to schedule feeding times for your fish, dispensing small amounts of food as frequently as you like throughout the day. You even have the flexibility to skip feeding on certain days and monitor water quality using ORP. For instance, you may choose not to feed when the ORP value is too low.
One of the most significant advantages of the AFS is that it takes care of feeding your fish while you are away.
You can use feed pellets, flakes, or, even better, our Crossover Diet. The AFS is designed to accommodate nearly any type of pellet or flake food, but the Crossover Diet pellets from Neptune Systems are the perfect match. We collaborated closely with Reed Mariculture, the makers of Reef Nutrition foods, to develop an exclusive new food based on their TDO Chroma Boost. Each pellet is coated with a micro-film coral food during production. When the AFS dispenses these pellets, the micro-coral food spreads upon contact with water, allowing the pellets to sink effectively. Together, the AFS and our Crossover Diet pellets provide a comprehensive nutrient solution for your aquarium.
Another great feature is the stay-dry system, which prevents clumping and caking of the food. A common issue with many aquarium autofeeders is moisture in the food, which can cause it to clump and clog the system. The AFS features a motorized food dosing system that expands and slides for each dose. Additionally, the food container comes with a built-in seal that keeps moisture out as soon as it retracts.
