The addition of Kalkwasser brings several benefits to the water in your reef aquarium. It increases the calcium level, reduces phosphate concentration through precipitation, and raises the pH value. This process helps to decrease the growth of hair algae while promoting the development of calcareous algae.

Application/Dosage

Please ensure that you follow the operation manuals for Kalkwasser stirrers and reactors. If you are adding it manually, take one spoonful for every 5 litres of tap or osmosis water and mix it well. Allow the milky solution to settle for a while, and only use the clear solution, adding it to the water drop by drop. Keep in mind that the high pH value of Kalkwasser will raise the pH in your aquarium. Therefore, it is important to add it slowly and avoid overdosing.
