Aqua Medic Top End Filter to connect to your osmosis device

High levels of silica (silicates) in tap water can often be a challenge for aquarium enthusiasts, even when using the latest reverse osmosis systems. Despite impressive retention rates of up to 99%, there can still be a residual silica concentration in the purified water, which may lead to issues with diatoms, particularly in saltwater aquariums.

The Top End Filter is designed to be placed directly behind your reverse osmosis unit, ensuring that any remaining silica is effectively removed from the ultrapure water. A color indicator in the ion exchange resin will let you know when the filter material needs to be replaced. The binding capacity typically lasts for approximately 1,800 liters of water flow, although this can vary depending on the water quality.
