In a closed aquarium ecosystem, fluctuations in parameters can happen quite frequently. An efficient filtration system or an excess of nutrient-reducing media may lead to a sudden drop in nitrate levels. When the nitrate concentration is too low, it can slow down coral growth or, worse, cause permanent damage.

AF NO3+ is a product designed to enhance the level of nitrate in marine aquariums. This issue of low NO3 levels often arises in tanks with a high number of corals and few fish. AF NO3+ provides a source of pure nitrates, which are essential for the healthy growth of corals. It is important to note that the concentration of nitrates is closely related to the level of phosphates in the water. Therefore, before increasing the NO3 level in your aquarium, it is wise to test the PO4 concentration. Maintaining the right balance between these parameters helps to keep the chemical balance in your tank and prevents excessive algae growth.

Dosage:

• 1 ml of AF NO3+ added to 100 liters of aquarium water increases the level of nitrates by 0.5 mg/l (ppm).
• The maximum recommended daily dose is: 1 ml/100 liters of water.
• The optimal nitrate (NO3) value for a reef aquarium is 1-4 mg/l (ppm).
• Check nitrate levels regularly and only dose when they are too low.
• Ensure that the nitrate level is correct and use a reliable test kit.
