Aquaforest Lab Microelements Supplement is designed with a highly concentrated potassium formula. Potassium plays a crucial role in neurological functions. For soft corals, potassium is essential for nutrient transport. However, in SPS corals, a lack of this important element can result in faded pink and red colors.

Using zeolite-based filtration media in your aquarium may lead to potassium deficiency. To prevent this, regular and balanced use of Kalium can help maintain the appropriate potassium levels, enhancing the vibrant red and pink hues of your SPS corals.

Dosage: Adding 10 ml of the product will increase the potassium level by 10 mg/l (ppm) in 100 liters (27 US gallons) of water. The recommended potassium level for a reef aquarium is between 360 and 380 mg/l. Keep in mind that the dosage should be tailored to the consumption of microelements in your aquarium. Every aquarium is unique, so the final dosage will depend on the coral species and individual needs.

Both potassium deficiency and excess micronutrients can impact your aquarium’s inhabitants. Therefore, it is important to select and adjust the dosage based on regular Aquaforest Lab water tests.
