Calcium Pronto is a fast-dissolving, pure, dry calcium chloride that allows you to quickly and affordably increase the calcium ion concentration in your aquarium. This is essential for reef aquariums, as corals, clams, snails, tube worms, and calcareous algae all need calcium carbonate from the water to thrive.

To ensure your aquarium maintains the right calcium levels, use a calcium test kit. The ideal calcium concentration should be kept between 380 and 450 ppm. Here are some simple directions for use:

• Create a stock solution by dissolving 10 grams (about 2 teaspoons) of Calcium Pronto in 8 oz. (250 ml) of purified fresh water.
• Add 5 ml (1 teaspoon) of this stock solution to one gallon (3.875 liters) of water, which will increase calcium concentration by 12.5 ppm.
• Add 5 ml per 37.8 L daily to reach a calcium concentration of 400 – 450 ppm.
• After reaching this level, you can dose weekly as needed or use Kalkwasser or C-Balance to maintain both calcium and alkalinity levels.

Keep in mind that adding calcium chloride can lower alkalinity, so you may want to adjust alkalinity levels using Two Little Fishies KH Power. The contents include pure anhydrous calcium chloride.
