What makes Ocean Direct ™ stand out is its ability to support an abundant population of beneficial bacteria—up to 1000 times more than other preservation methods. Each grain of this sand is coated with bacteria and surrounded by a thin film of real ocean water, thanks to capillary action. This unique feature allows for exceptional gas exchange, leading to a high concentration of natural and helpful bacteria while preventing the harmful buildup of metabolic byproducts.

This product effectively discourages algae nuisances and encourages the growth of living corals. Additionally, it naturally contains over 7,000 ppm of Strontium and is free from silicate.
