The ClariSea Gen3 fleece filters represent the latest innovation in our leading, patented roll filter system. This new version builds on extensive research and development, incorporating all the enhancements from the upgraded Gen 2.1 filter, along with a variety of new features. These include a pre-built body, a multi-size inlet adapter, and an easier-to-load fleece.
This high-efficiency water filtration system effectively removes suspended particles such as microalgae, detritus, food, organic waste, and gravel dust from the water column. It is suitable for use in marine aquariums, freshwater aquariums, fish-breeding systems, and coral propagation systems.

ClariSea Smart Controller
The ClariSea unit features a smart controller that allows for both automatic and manual advancement of the fleece roll. It also provides visual and audible alarms if a potential error is detected during operation.
Smart controller buttons
Play button: Press and hold to manually advance the motor and roll on the fleece.
Alarm button: Press the alarm button for 1 – 2 seconds to turn off the audible alarm. The alarm condition will still be present with the Red LED flashing. The automatic advance of fleece will be disabled, however, the play button will still function for manual fleece advancement. Pressing the alarm button for 5-7 seconds will fully reset the controller, clearing the alarm state and restoring the unit to normal operation mode. Disconnecting power for 30 seconds will also reset the controller and clear the alarm state.
Smart controller LED indicator functions:
Normal operation: During initialization (Power on or reset):
- Blue/Red LED will both flash 5 times, and an audible alarm will sound with each flash if the smart controller is reset or powered on.
- Blue LED will remain on to indicate that the unit is in normal standby mode.
Motor activation:
- When the motor is activated, the blue LED will flash.
Alarm indicators: If the roll cannot advance or the float is activated for more than 5 seconds:
- Red alarm LED will flash.
- Audible alarm will sound for 2 seconds every 5 seconds.
- Automatic advance of fleece will be disabled until the controller is reset.
If the float is not activated for 8 hours, indicating that the fleece may be empty:
- Blue/Red LEDs will both flash, and an audible alarm will sound for 1 second every 2 seconds.
- Automatic advance of fleece will be disabled until the controller is reset.
If there is a possible installation error and the float is not triggered within 48 hours after initial setup or reset:
- Red LED will flash at 10-second intervals, and the audible alarm will sound with each flash.
- Automatic advance of fleece will be disabled until the controller is reset.
