Seachem Clarity – 250ml is the ultimate clarifier for both fresh and saltwater
Clarity™ is the ultimate clarifier for both fresh and saltwater. It utilizes an advanced polymeric flocculating agent that is safe for both reefs and plants. Clarity™ stands out as the only clarifier available that can tackle all types of clouding! It effectively clears various kinds of cloudiness, including chemical clouding and particulate clouding, such as that caused by stirred-up gravel beds. This product is suitable for freshwater and marine environments, and it is safe for both plants and reefs.
Why It Is Different
Many companies offer multiple products to address different types of cloudiness and environments (for example, freshwater, marine, reef, etc.). While some have created products that can clear most types of cloudiness, they often require two separate bottles. In contrast, Clarity contains compounds that can tackle all types of cloudiness across all environments. With both precipitating and flocculating agents combined in a single bottle, Clarity enables users to remove all types of cloudiness with just one dose.
How It Works
When you add Clarity™ to the water, you may notice a cloudy haze beginning to form. This is completely normal and indicates that Clarity™ is starting to do its job. The water is filled with tiny particles that are not visible to the naked eye. Clarity™ helps these particles clump together, forming larger pieces that become visible, which is the reason for the initial cloudiness. After the particles have clumped together, they are large enough to be captured by the filter media, making filtration easy.
Directions
Use 1 capful (5 mL) for every 80 L (20 gallons*). In some cases, the cloudiness might increase slightly after adding Clarity™, which is a normal occurrence and a sign that Clarity™ is actively working. You can expect rapid clarification to follow. If you experience chemical or particulate clouding, be sure to clean the filter floss or cartridge once the tank clears. (Note: The caps for the 2 L and 4 L containers are 10 mL.)
