Coral Essentials Coral Power Nitrate Up – 100 ml is a concentrated, inorganic nitrogen source (50,000 ppm)

In bacteria-driven systems, this product serves as a vital nutrient source that helps to biologically balance marine aquarium systems. By increasing the available nitrate, it enables the bacteria present to naturally reduce phosphate levels while also providing a food source for your corals.

In ULNS (Ultra Low Nutrient Systems) aquariums, corals may become pale and unhealthy if they lack sufficient nitrate. Coral Essentials recommends using Coral Power Nitrate Up when your system is overly efficient at removing nitrate. When nitrate and phosphate levels are maintained correctly, your coral will appear more vibrant and colorful. We suggest keeping your aquarium nitrate levels between 1ppm and 5ppm.

Manual Dosing

For ULNS systems, we recommend starting with 1 drop (0.05ml) per day for each 100L (26 gals) of tank water. You can adjust the dosing based on your specific tank conditions and coral density.

Advanced Dosing

For the more experienced aquarist, 1ml will increase nitrate levels by 0.5ppm (mg/L) for each 100L (26 gals) of tank water. If you prefer drop dosing, 2 drops (0.1ml) will raise nitrate levels by 0.05ppm in 100L. If you are aware of the NO3 depletion rate in your system, please dose accordingly based on the guidelines above.
