Fauna Marin Dino X is a powerful solution designed to tackle hair and other nuisance algae in reef aquariums. It also effectively removes dinoflagellates and Briopsis algae.

DOSAGE

• Administer 2ml per 100 liters of aquarium water every 2 days until the algae are completely eliminated, but do not extend treatment beyond 21 days.
• Be sure to accurately calculate the volume of your aquarium to avoid overdosing.
• Apply the solution in the evening after the lights are turned off. This timing enhances the effectiveness of the treatment, as no photosynthesis will occur.
• Limit lighting to 6 hours per day; blue lights may be left on for up to 10 hours.
• Ensure the skimmer is operating at optimal capacity throughout the treatment.
• Avoid performing water changes or adding trace elements during the treatment period.
• Remove ozone, activated carbon, zeolite, and any other media that may absorb the treatment during the cure.
• If dinoflagellates reappear after a few days, re-dose for a few days until they are eliminated.

WHEN TO USE DINO X?

• For Derbesia and other feather algae.
• To address bubble and gold algae, including Halimeda calcareous algae.
• For Caulerpa.
• To treat Bryopsis algae (extended treatment may be necessary).
• For dinoflagellates.
• Please note: This product is not effective against bacteria or cyanobacteria (slime).

ISSUES

• Fauna Marin DINO X has undergone 10 years of testing. When instructions are followed carefully, it does not negatively impact corals or other invertebrates. However, the redox value may decrease slightly.
• Sea urchins and clams may be harmed after prolonged use or in cases of overdose.
• Caulerpa in mud filters or refugiums can suffer damage.
• Excessive algae starvation may lead to the release of toxins present in the algae. Therefore, it is advisable to manually remove as much algae as possible beforehand.
• Coral polyps may remain retracted for a few days following treatment.
