Dosage
The standard dosage is:
- 10 ml of AquaMaker per 50 liters of aquarium water
- 1 US fl oz of AquaMaker per 40 US Gallons of aquarium water
Remember to shake the bottle before use, as the product may release a sulfur odor.
Example: dosing tap water for water change
If you fill five buckets of 10 liters each for a water change, add 2 ml of AquaMaker to each bucket and mix. The mixture can be added to the aquarium immediately because AquaMaker works instantly.
Example: dosing an aquarium
If your aquarium holds 100 liters of water and you change 20 liters, you should dose AquaMaker based on the full volume of water, which is 100 liters. You will need to add 20 ml of AquaMaker to the aquarium water.
Adjusting Dosages
- If you encounter low concentrations of chloramine, chlorine, or ammonia, use half the regular dose: 5 ml per 50 liters or 1 US fl oz per 80 US Gallons.
- For higher concentrations of chloramine, chlorine, or ammonia, use double the standard dose: 20 ml per 50 liters or 2 US fl oz per 40 US Gallons.
- In emergencies, if nitrite concentrations are very high (3 mg/L or higher) or ammonia concentrations are very high (1 mg/L or higher), use triple the dosage: 30 ml per 50 liters or 3 US fl oz per 40 US Gallons.
- If the water temperature reaches 30 ºC (86 ºF), use up to half the normal dose of AquaMaker.
