Easy Reefs Artemia

Freez-Dried Microalgae: Ideal for artemia and various crustaceans.

Directions for Artemia Culture and Other Crustaceans:

We utilize the species Easy Reefs ® Tetraselmis (100%). The dosage will depend on how many artemia you wish to feed. For the first five days, use 100 mg of Easy Reefs ® per 10 liters of culture per day (for nauplius and metanauplius stages). From day five onward, increase the dosage to 200 mg of Easy Reefs ® per 10 liters of culture per day (for juvenile artemia and adults).

If, after a few hours of adding Easy Reefs ®, the water in your artemia culture becomes clear (indicating that the microalgae have been consumed), it is time to add more Easy Reefs ®.

Example for an Artemia Culture in 10 Liters (maintain gentle bubbling):

• 1st – Hatch the artemia cysts according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
• 2nd – Once they have hatched, begin feeding with Easy Reefs ®.
• 3rd – In a glass blender, combine 0.5 liters of seawater.
• 4th – Add 100 mg of Easy Reefs ® (approximately one level spoonful) and follow the resuspension instructions.
• 5th – Remove 0.5 liters of water from the artemia culture to make room for the prepared microalgae.
• 6th – Gradually add the resuspended microalgae to the tank to prevent disturbing the sediment.
