Easy reefs Easyphyt: The Ideal Culture Medium for Phytoplankton
Easyphyt is a specially formulated culture medium developed by Easy Reefs for small and medium-scale phytoplankton cultivation. It is based on the classic Guillard’s F/2 formula, making it suitable for growing various types of phytoplankton, including Tetraselmis, Nannochloropsis, Isochrysis, and Rhodomonas.
For diatom cultures, such as Phaeodactylum or Chaetoceros, it is recommended to use a specific culture medium enriched with silicates for optimal growth.
Preservation and Storage
The expiration date of Easyphyt does not change even after it has been opened. This is because as the liquid is used, the bag compresses, preventing air from entering and thereby preventing oxidation of the product.
Storage instructions: Store Easyphyt in a cool, dark, and dry place. The storage temperature should not exceed 25°C. During hot summer months, it is advisable to store the product in an air-conditioned room to maintain its quality.
