The latest Radion incorporates a new LED cluster along with a Hybrid Hemispherically Edge Illuminating optical system, elevating the Radion’s capabilities from best-in-class to truly extraordinary.

In your aquarium, you will enjoy richer colors, enhanced fluorescence, and the perfect harmony between crisp and actinic light. Since its launch, Radion has established the benchmark for full spectrum aquarium LED lighting. The sixth generation pushes the boundaries of color rendition and fluorescence while maintaining the renowned flexibility that users appreciate.

With the addition of 395nm diodes, the G6 dives deeper into the UV spectrum, achieving a new level of fluorescence for both corals and fish. Both the Blue and Pro models also feature a rebalanced mix of color channels and LEDs (diodes) to provide the most flexible and balanced spectra available in aquarium lighting.

Anatomy of the G6 Spectrum

• 395nm: Unlocks additional fluorescence in fish and corals.
• 400-450nm: Rebalancing the cluster with more blue and deep blue enhances fluorescence, color rendition, and offers a new level of tunability in the blue spectrum, ranging from crisp to actinic.
• 460-580nm: Reducing mid-range spectral output maintains color expression in pigmentation while allowing for more wattage to be utilized in photosynthetically beneficial and visually appealing output.
• 665nm: Using long wavelength diodes effectively provides light output useful for coral photosynthesis as well as visual color balancing.

The Radion G6 increases output from an impressive 110.5 degrees in the G5 to an astounding 126.3 degrees. This enhancement was achieved through a change in the primary optic on the LEDs, which integrates with the geometry of the existing HEI (Hemispherically Edge Illuminating) secondary optic (lens).

Radion is a winner in the cost versus output equation. The HEI2 optical system provides 126.3 degrees of output, resulting in incredibly even PAR over nearly 4 feet of coverage area, making it the highest average output Radion and possibly the most efficient aquarium light ever manufactured.
