eSHa EXIT highly effective against all known forms of Ichthyo (freshwater)
When to use eSHa EXIT?
Making the correct diagnosis is often the key to rapid healing. Many fish diseases are highly contagious and can spread quickly through the aquarium water. It is also very important to treat your fish as soon as possible. There are early signs that indicate when something might be wrong with your fish.
Skin: The skin is the first line of protection and often shows the first signs of a disease or deficiency due to an infection. Keep a close watch on any changes in color.
Fins: Pay attention to the fins. If they are close to the body of the fish, it is often attributed to a disease or deficiency, especially in viviparous fish.
Swimming behavior: Unusual swimming patterns or rocking can be indicative of an underlying disease.
Which fish can be treated with eSHa EXIT?
- Tropical fish ✔
- Cold water fish ✔
- Saltwater fish ✘
eSHa EXIT is safe for fish, plants, and filters when dosed correctly. It provides excellent results, particularly with tropical fish.
Application areas
eSHa EXIT treats all forms of Ichthyo. It distinguishes itself by effectively combating pepper spot (Oodinium), which is often confused with other parasites. This is a significant advantage, as it prevents the selection of the wrong remedy.
The table below lists the specific pathogens that eSHa EXIT eliminates:
DISEASE SYMPTOMS
- Small white dots on the body and fins of the fish. The fish may rub against objects such as aquarium decorations.
- The fish may experience breathing difficulties (rapid gill movements). It may appear covered with a gray and tan haze that resembles many tiny gold dots. The fish will likely try to “scratch” against decorations. There may also be mucus covering its body.
NAME OF THE DISEASE: White dot, also known as Ichthyo or “dot” (Ichthyophthirius multifiliis). This is one of the most common problems among aquarium owners and affects virtually all freshwater fish.
NAME OF THE DISEASE: Pepper spot (Oodinium pillularis). This can be fatal for fish. This disease is less known than the common white spot, which leads to symptoms being often confused. Since eSHa EXIT treats both forms of dot, the risk of misdiagnosis is reduced.
eSHa EXIT also addresses lesser-known issues such as import spot (coarse white spot), pepper spot, black spot, and coarse dot. These infections are often highly contagious and can spread easily. The sooner you begin treatment, the better the chances of recovery for your fish.
Should I be cautious when diagnosing these symptoms?
Yes, some caution is necessary when making a diagnosis. Certain fish, particularly clown botias, can show white dots due to poor water quality rather than an infectious disease. Additionally, some male fish, especially goldfish, may have white spots around their gills and pectoral fins during mating season. These bulges should not be confused with white spot.
Dosage
To treat the symptoms described above, start with one standard treatment over three days. A multi-day dosage can yield exceptional results while minimizing discomfort for your fish. For more severe cases, consider the “SPECIAL DOSAGE.”
- Calculate the volume of your aquarium, considering only the area filled with water.
- Locate your aquarium volume on the dosage scale. Read down to find the corresponding number of drops required for days one, two, and three. Please note: the dosage for days two and three is identical.
- Dose the drops of eSHa EXIT in the aquarium by turning the bottle upside down and gently squeezing the dropper (20 drops = 1 ml). You should see a visible improvement within 1-2 days.
Standard dosage (for 100 liters)
- Day 1: 20 drops
- Day 2: 10 drops
- Day 3: 10 drops
A bottle of eSHa EXIT (20 ml) is sufficient for a 3-day treatment for 1000 liters.
Special dosages
For particularly resistant species (such as those with import dot), a longer dosage may be necessary on days four and five. The duration of dosage depends on the nature of the infection. Following the standard course, add 10 drops per 100 liters on days four and five. Always read the enclosed description of the product for the latest information.
