Fauna Marin Power Phos Iron

Fauna Marin Power Phos Iron is a wet Iron-hydroxide based adsorber that effectively removes silicates and phosphates from your aquarium. The pollutants bind to the surface of Power Phos, ensuring they are not released back into the water. With Power Phos, you can maintain very low nutrient levels in your tank, preventing unwanted algae growth and allowing your corals to display their natural colors.

Instructions and Dosing Recommendation:

Please make all changes in the aquarium carefully and gradually. Start with 100 ml for every 300 liters of water. After 5 days, you can increase the dose to 150 ml for every 300 liters of water. It is important to never exceed 200 ml for 300 liters of water.

For optimal results and to maximize adsorption efficiency, place the material between two layers of filter wool or use a fluidized-bed reactor. Make sure to check phosphate concentrations regularly with reliable test kits from reputable brands, such as Salifert, Macherey & Nagel, or Merck / Rowa.

Please avoid using Power Phos in tanks that already have very low phosphate concentrations. If phosphate levels begin to rise again, it is advisable to replace Power Phos with fresh material. Power Phos is suitable for both fresh and seawater aquariums. Be aware that the material may warm up when it gets wet for the first time.

The reddish coloration of the water is due to fine dust attached to the adsorber. This is not harmful and will dissipate quickly. Please do not rinse the adsorber before use.
