The application of the Balling system with Grotech carbonate, calcium, mineral, and magnesium pro instant is straightforward and effective. The Grotech Balling System, when used correctly, meets the needs of your marine water aquarium for carbonate, calcium, and magnesium. There is no need to utilize a calcium reactor. This system effectively covers the requirements for carbonate hardness, as well as the macro elements calcium and magnesium, which are consumed by healthy coral growth in your aquarium. It is essential to regularly replenish these elements in the right amounts.

Procedure:

• Monitor your kH value over several days to determine your aquarium’s daily consumption.
• Calculate the amount of carbonate to dose per instant Balling solution.
• You can utilize our free calculator available at https://www.calculator.grotech.de.
• Administer this amount over several days and check if it effectively maintains a stable kH value in your reef aquarium. The target kH value should range between °dkH 7 and °dkH 10.
• Simultaneously, dose the Calcium and Mineral pro instant Balling solutions in the same amount as the carbonate solution.
• Adjust the daily dosing amount as necessary.

Typically, the consumption of Carbonate, Calcium, and Mineral pro instant Balling solutions will align. This means you should dose the three solutions in equal parts, corresponding to the calculated kH solution consumption. Ideally, you should distribute the dosing quantity in smaller portions throughout the day. GROTECH dosing pumps are perfect for this task. The Mineral pro instant Balling solution contains a high magnesium content, which generally satisfies the magnesium requirements in your aquarium. If you identify a magnesium deficit, you can prepare and dose a solution of the fourth component, Magnesium pro instant, separately according to your needs.
