Hanna HI782 Marine Nitrate High Range Checker
The HI782 Marine Nitrate High Range Colorimeter is specifically designed to help you quickly and accurately determine high levels of nitrate in saltwater aquariums and marine applications. With its digital readout, you will no longer need to struggle with visual color comparisons.
- Measurements with a range up to 75.0 ppm
- Less complex laboratory-grade accuracy – Requires only 1 reagent
- Simple, intuitive digital operation
- Compact and precise for use at home, at work, or while on-the-go
Nitrate is the final step in the nitrogen cycle. Excessive nitrate levels in saltwater aquariums can promote the growth of unwanted organisms such as algae and dinoflagellates. The HI782 offers a straightforward, accurate, and cost-effective way to measure nitrate from 0.0 to 75.0 ppm (as NO3–) in your saltwater aquarium.
The HI782 Nitrate Checker HC employs the Zinc Reduction method to measure nitrate concentration colorimetrically, providing quick and accurate results in just four easy steps.
Features at a glance:
- Designed for use with saltwater samples.
- More accurate than traditional chemical test kits.
- Focused on a single parameter for precision.
- Compact size for big convenience.
- No errors with a digital readout.
- Perfect for aquariums and marine biology applications.
HI782 High Range Nitrate Checker vs HI781 Low Range Nitrate Checker
The HI782 was created to quickly and easily measure nitrate levels for aquarists dealing with higher-than-average nutrient levels. This is particularly relevant for saltwater aquariums that are fish-only or host corals that can tolerate elevated nitrate levels of 30 ppm or more.
Very low nitrate levels are crucial for many saltwater reef aquariums, as high nitrate can harm sensitive corals and invertebrates. Therefore, the HI781 provides unmatched accuracy in measuring very low nitrate levels (0.00 to 5.00 ppm).
