KH Director & GHL Doser 2.2 EXT Black: Automated Alkalinity Monitoring and Control
The KH Director is an advanced device for automated alkalinity monitoring and control, using a modified pH probe to deliver accurate KH values. The system integrates seamlessly with GHL’s modular aquarium management setup, ensuring reliable and efficient operation.
How It Works
The KH Director connects to a GHL Doser 2 or 2.1 dosing unit through its three blue adapters, each assigned a specific task:
- Pump 1: Feeds tank water into the KH Director for testing.
- Pump 2: Supplies reagent fluid to the device.
- Pump 3: Extracts the test sample and used reagent fluid, dispensing it into a waste bin.
The pumps operate automatically during testing, and results are logged and displayed on platforms such as myGHL, ProfiLux Touch, and other GHL display units.
Features and Benefits
- Lab-grade KH Accuracy: Measures alkalinity with an accuracy of 0.1 dKH using a 100 ml sample.
- Efficiency and Cost-Effectiveness: A 1000 ml bottle of reagent can last up to 3 months when testing 4 times daily at a KH of 8. The pH electrode, designed for KH measurement, has a lifespan of 1–2 years.
- Flexible Operation: Can connect to a standalone or slave Doser (2.1/2.0) and ProfiLux 3 or 4 controller for complete integration.
- Seamless Integration: PAB (ProfiLux Aquatic Bus) ensures interference-free communication with other GHL devices.
