Directions:
To create your stock solution, simply dissolve 10 grams (about 2 teaspoons) of Magnesium Pronto in 8 oz (250 ml) of purified water. Then, adding 5 ml (1 teaspoon) of the stock solution to one gallon of water will increase the magnesium concentration by 12.5 ppm. Warning:
Please keep this product out of reach of children. Magnesium Pronto generates heat when mixed with water, so it is important not to add it directly to the aquarium without dissolving it first. Always handle with rubber gloves, avoid breathing dust, and do not let it come into contact with skin, eyes, or clothing. If it does come into contact, flush skin with plenty of water. For eye contact, rinse thoroughly with water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical attention if necessary.
This product is not for human consumption and is intended for aquarium use only. It is not suitable for fish raised for human consumption. Be sure to keep the lid tightly closed to prevent moisture from entering.
General Information:
Supplemental magnesium is often necessary for reef aquariums because corals, clams, snails, tubeworms, and calcareous algae absorb it from the water. To maintain proper magnesium levels, use a magnesium test kit to measure the concentration in your aquarium. Ideally, it should be maintained between 1,280 and 1,350 ppm at a seawater density of 1.025.
