MICROBE-LIFT/Gravel & Substrate Cleaner accelerates the biological breakdown of organic waste that accumulates at the bottom of your aquarium, which can be harmful to both fish and plant life. As organic solids collect, they start to decompose, releasing toxic gases and by-products into the water, posing risks to your aquatic friends.

With MICROBE-LIFT/Gravel & Substrate Cleaner, you can effectively biologically degrade this sludge and muck with minimal disturbance, helping to reduce or eliminate harmful gases while also clarifying your aquarium water.

This product contains natural cellulosic matter, select biological accelerators, and special microbes that are proven to effectively reduce aquarium sludge. Additionally, MICROBE-LIFT/Gravel & Substrate Cleaner will help to clarify dirty aquarium water.

It is recommended for use alongside all MICROBE-LIFT bacteria and enzyme products. Please note that MICROBE-LIFT/Gravel & Substrate Cleaner may temporarily discolor your aquarium water for 48-96 hours after application. This product is black in color, so your water may be slightly tinted. Do not worry; the active ingredient is natural and will aid in clarifying the water while digesting organics.

Directions:

For substrates with 0.65 cm (1/4″) or more of solid build-up, apply 2 tsp. (10 mL) of MICROBE-LIFT/Gravel & Substrate Cleaner per 10 gallons (38L) of tank water. Here are some examples:

• Tank Size: 225 liters (60 gallons) – Dosage: 12 tsp. (4 tbsp. / 60 mL)
• Tank Size: 285 liters (75 gallons) – Dosage: 15 tsp. (5 tbsp. / 75 mL)

Use as directed every other week until your substrate is clean, then follow the Substrate Maintenance dosage schedule below.

Substrate Maintenance: For substrates with less than 0.65 cm (1/4″) of solid build-up, apply 1 tsp. (5 mL) of MICROBE-LIFT/Gravel & Substrate Cleaner per 10 gallons (38L) of tank water. Here are some examples:

• Tank Size: 225 liters (60 gallons) – Dosage: 6 tsp. (2 tbsp. / 30 mL)
• Tank Size: 285 liters (75 gallons) – Dosage: 7 1/2 tsp. (2 1/2 tbsp. / 37 mL)

Use as directed monthly. If the build-up exceeds 1/4″, please follow the Substrate Cleaning dosage schedule.
