Neptune Systems Energy Bar 632 – new version (EU plug)
The Energy Bar 632 (EB632) is equipped with six 220V AC outlets and features an internal 100W 24VDC power supply. This power supply supports three built-in 1LINK ports and two 24VDC accessory ports. Additionally, it offers individual outlet power monitoring and LED indicators for each outlet.
POWER MONITORING
For years, customers have requested individual power monitoring for devices connected to each outlet. Now, this feature is available, bringing numerous benefits. With regular monitoring of power information, you can quickly identify when your pump, skimmer, powerhead, UV, or any other device is not functioning correctly, allowing for timely alerts. This means you can address issues as they arise or even before they escalate into significant problems.
Moreover, electricity costs can be a major concern for aquarium enthusiasts. Even in areas where electricity is affordable, many aquarists are conscious of their energy consumption and its environmental impact. Interestingly, our energy usage can be linked to excess greenhouse gases, ocean warming, and coral bleaching. However, by utilizing this power usage information, aquarists can make informed operating and purchasing decisions that could save them hundreds of dollars annually while also reducing their carbon footprint.
BUILT-IN 1LINK AND 24VDC PORTS
This Energy Bar includes a built-in 100W, 24VDC power supply that can control up to three Neptune Systems 1LINK products, such as the WAV and DOS. Additionally, it features two switchable 24V DC on/off outlets compatible with any 24V device under 30W, including Neptune Systems 24V accessories like the Practical Multi-purpose Utility Pump (PMUP) and solenoid valve.
INDIVIDUAL OUTLET INDICATOR LED
Each AC outlet on the Neptune Systems Energy Bar, along with the two 24VDC accessory ports, is equipped with its own status LED. This LED indicates when the outlet is energized. If a device is plugged in that exceeds the outlet’s current capacity, the LED will blink rapidly.
ALARMS AND DECISIONS BASED ON POWER
Since the Apex continuously receives power usage data from the Energy Bar 632, it can be configured to send notifications when a device is not consuming power as expected. For instance, it can alert you if a return pump shows no power consumption while the outlet is on or if a skimmer has a clogged airline, as power consumption will differ from normal operation. You can customize these high and low limits for each outlet, and even use this power data to control other devices.
ALL OUTLETS RELAY SWITCHED
As times have changed, it is now quite uncommon for aquariums to have AC devices that require continuous cycling on and off. This shift allows us to switch all AC outlets to relay switching.
NEW MOUNTING SYSTEM FOR Neptune Systems ENERGY BAR 632
Both the Apex and the Neptune Systems Energy Bar 632 feature an innovative attachment system that simplifies mounting and provides easy access to all connections. The Apex can be mounted with just two screws and has a hinged design that allows you to flip it up, make your connections, and then flip it back down, minimizing the risk of water entering the electronics via a cable. The Energy Bar 632 comes with a mounting bracket that requires only three screws to secure to the wall, after which the Energy Bar simply slides down onto the bracket.
