The Neptune Systems Flow Monitoring Kit includes the FMM – Fluid Monitoring Module, one 1″ Flow Sensor (FS-100), and two 1/2″ Flow Sensors (FS-50). The 1/2″ sensors are rated for flow rates ranging from 30 to 250 gallons per hour (gph), while the 1″ flow sensors can handle flow rates from 150 to 1500 gph. This kit is compatible with all Apex models!

The Fluid Monitoring Module is a versatile module that enables your Apex to monitor flow, detect leaks, check water levels, power 24VDC accessories, and utilize future sensors.

The Flow Sensors will monitor the flow of your aquarium’s main return pump. Your Apex will immediately notify you if the flow stops for any reason, which usually indicates a failed or faulty pump. You can place a flow sensor on devices such as carbon, GFO, or biopellet reactors, providing multiple benefits. First, you will be alerted if your pump is not flowing correctly or has failed. Next, you can easily fine-tune the flow into the reactor by monitoring the dashboard tile on your Apex. Finally, you will be informed when the reactor is becoming clogged with detritus or if channeling has occurred, either through alerts on your Apex or by checking your dashboard.
