Maintaining low nutrient levels is essential for a healthy and algae-free marine aquarium. Many successful reef aquariums incorporate a macroalgae-filled growth area, known as a refugium, for effective nutrient control. The GRO Macroalgae Light is a specialized 20W LED light crafted to support the growth of various common macroalgaes, such as Chaetomorpha, by utilizing a specific light spectrum that maximizes photosynthesis.
The GRO emits light in two optimized wavelengths for macroalgae growth – 455-460nm and 620-670nm. Its rectangular shape ensures that the light is directed exactly where it is needed, minimizing the growth of nuisance algae in other areas of your sump due to light spillage.
The Neptune Systems GRO Refugium Light connects directly to any available DC24 port in your Apex ecosystem, or it can also operate completely standalone.
