Maintaining low nutrient levels is essential for a healthy, algae-free marine aquarium. Many successful reef aquariums utilize a macroalgae-filled growth area or refugium to effectively control nutrients. The GRO Macroalgae light is a specialized, 20W LED light designed to promote the growth of various common macroalgaes, such as Chaetomorpha, by using a unique light spectrum that maximizes photosynthesis.
The GRO focuses its power on emitting light in two specific wavelengths optimized for macroalgae growth: 455-460nm and 620-670nm. Its rectangular shape ensures that the right light reaches the right areas, while minimizing light spillage that can lead to nuisance algae growth elsewhere in your sump.
The Neptune Systems GRO Refugium Light conveniently plugs directly into any available DC24 port in your Apex ecosystem, or it can also operate completely standalone.

- Remove the GRO from the box
- Plug GRO into one of the DC24 connections on your Energy Bar 632 or,
- Plug it into a 1LINK module
- Select GRO from the tasks menu
