The Reef Octopus VarioS DC pumps are designed to provide you with enhanced performance and precise flow control for your aquarium’s reactors, sump, or closed-loop systems. With the VarioS Controller, you have complete control over the pump’s flow, can enter feed modes (15 or 60 minutes), add a safety float switch (included), or connect it to a third-party controller such as an Apex.

Control

The energy-efficient VarioS DC pump now comes with the new VarioS controller, which provides you with even more control. With five different energy-saving speeds and two feed modes, the controller offers a quick overview of your pump’s status.

Third Party Control

A dedicated port on the VarioS controller allows you to easily connect your pump to any third-party controller using a 0-10V reference port. This capability enables you to create custom flow profiles, which can be especially beneficial for closed-loop systems that require random flow throughout the aquarium.

Safety

One of the great features of this pump is the ability to attach a float switch directly. This allows you to set high or low points in your sump, skimmer cup, or display tank, automatically shutting off the pump when the float is activated. The VarioS controller includes a waterproof 3-conductor union that connects to the pump, ensuring a safe and detachable connection.
