Orca Labs Nitra-Guard BIO-Cubes Titanium V15
The key difference with the Bio-Cubes is that the Titanium version can effectively remove nitrate even with a phosphate value of 0. In contrast, the standard BIO-Cubes cannot eliminate nitrate without available phosphate. The BIO-Cubes Titanium are crafted from 100% biodegradable polymers that proficiently remove nitrates and phosphates, making them suitable for both marine and freshwater systems.
With an impressive surface area, BIO-Cubes contain 400% more carbohydrates than any other brand, establishing them as the top choice in the market. They are highly adaptable, functioning well in filter bags, fluidized bed filters, and denitrators. Plus, BIO-Cubes require no maintenance or nutritional dosages, which makes them the simplest and most convenient solution for nitrate and phosphate removal available today. As a bonus, every pot of Nitra-Guard BIO-Cubes comes with a free filter bag.
How does it all work?
The bacteria present consume the abundant carbohydrate source found in the BIO-Cubes Titanium, forming a biomass that absorbs nitrates and phosphates from the aquarium water. This biomass can either be skimmed off using a protein skimmer or serve as a food source for corals.
When cultivating bacteria, two vital factors influence the colony size: the surface area and the food source. BIO-Cubes resemble small sponges with open cells, providing an extensive surface. Additionally, BIO-Cubes Titanium contain 400% more biologically available, insoluble polymer carbohydrates than any other product worldwide. These two elements create ideal conditions for developing and sustaining large bacterial colonies, which are essential for effectively removing phosphate and nitrate from aquariums.
Independent tests in real-life scenarios have shown that BIO-Cubes Titanium can reduce nitrates from 60 ppm to 5 ppm in less than two weeks, while competing products often claim to start showing results only after two weeks!
Instructions
- The amount needed depends on the stocking density and the food quantity added to the aquarium.
- For heavily stocked aquariums, use 3 ml for every 1 liter of aquarium water. For lightly stocked systems, add 1 ml for every 1 liter of aquarium water.
- When using BIO-Cubes Titanium in a filter bag or reactor, position it near the protein skimmer to expedite the removal of nitrate and phosphate-rich biomass.
- Within 1 to 2 weeks, the bacteria colonies will become productive enough to reduce the nitrate levels in your aquarium. If the nitrate and phosphate levels are high, some cloudiness might occur, but this will clear up within a few days.
Make sure to soak BIO-Cubes Titanium in fresh water for 24 hours before use.
