Tropic Marin® Original Balling Components are essential for maintaining the ionic balance in your reef tank. These components consist of three salt mixtures used in the Balling Method, allowing for precise dosing of calcium and carbonates tailored to each aquarium’s specific needs. The method incorporates calcium chloride dihydrate (Component A) and sodium carbonate/sodium bicarbonate (Component B), while sodium chloride-free sea salt (Component C) helps sustain the vital ion balance in your aquarium water. This carefully balanced calcium dosage fosters optimal conditions for the growth of corals and coralline algae, effectively preventing the depletion of essential elements that often occurs with two-part methods.

How to use: Dissolve the indicated quantities of salts separately in individual containers filled with reverse osmosis water. The resulting solutions will be ready for use. You can dose equal amounts of the separate solutions daily or adjust the quantities of each to reach the recommended levels in your aquarium. These solutions are highly stable and can be stored indefinitely. The use of highly purified pharmaceutical-grade salts guarantees that the resulting solutions remain clear and pure.

Dosage: Using 30 ml / 1 fl. oz of each solution will raise the calcium concentration of 10 US gallons / 35 liters by 15 mg/l (ppm) calcium and 2.2 °dH. The maximum recommended dosage is 60 ml / 2 fl. oz of each solution per 10 US gallons / 35 liters each day.
