The NO3 Smart Test Kit is part of a series of drop tests created by Reef Factory LAB. It is specifically designed for quick measurement of nitrate concentration in your marine aquarium at home. You can perform approximately 60 tests within the range of 2 to 200 mg/L.

With Smart Reef, the drop test takes on a whole new meaning. Thanks to its integration with the application and the Dosing Panel, interpreting the results is extremely simple. You will see clear recommendations on how to maintain the nitrate levels within the optimal range based on a straightforward scale. Additionally, the Dosing Panel keeps a history of your measurements and allows you to conveniently share this information with fellow hobbyists. It is all about convenience in one app!

How to take measurements with the Reef Factory NO3 Smart Test Kit:

1. Use a syringe to take 10 ml of water from the aquarium and pour it into the vial.
2. Add 5 drops from the NO3 Reagent 1 dropper to the vial and carefully stir it in a circular motion.
3. Shake the NO3 Reagent 2, then add 2 drops to the vial. Close the vial with the attached stopper and shake it well.
4. Allow 2 minutes for the reaction to occur. After this time, the sample in the vial should turn blue.
5. Remove the stopper and place the vial on the starting field of the standard.
6. While looking from the top, compare the color intensity with the color on the template. Read the result and/or enter it in the user panel in Smart Reef.

What to do next:

Based on the test results, the Smart Reef system will provide you with supplementation recommendations to ensure the best living conditions for your corals. You have the option to enter these recommendations manually, or if you have our dosing pumps, you can send them directly to the pumps. They will precisely dose the right amounts of supplements to provide the essential elements that your marine animals need.
