The Reef Factory Smart Tester is a multiparameter testing device that measures one parameter at a time. It can assess various parameters such as nitrate, phosphate, calcium, magnesium, and more, but you will need to change the reagents manually to switch between measurements. For instance, if you set it up with reagents for nitrate, it will only measure nitrate continuously, even every hour. To measure phosphate, you must change the reagents by yourself, and then you can proceed to measure phosphate instead of nitrate.

This advanced device is designed for testing essential water parameters in marine aquariums. The fully automated and precise tester provides instant and accurate results for the selected parameter, which you can easily access through the Smart Reef app. With features that allow you to schedule measurements and replace reagent cartridges with ease, the Smart Tester simplifies monitoring tank parameters significantly. The device also minimizes the need for calibration and features automatic cleaning, offering you unparalleled convenience.

With the Reef Factory Smart Tester, you will not only be able to automate the testing of parameters like PO4, NO3, Mg, and Ca, but you can also integrate the Smart Tester with dosing pumps to automate the maintenance of these parameters at desired levels.

Peristaltic Pumps

The Reef Factory Smart Tester operates using an innovative, in-house manufactured peristaltic pump, developed by the Reef Factory team. These pumps are designed to fulfill the specific requirements of marine aquaristics, offering high dosing precision, extended periods of failure-free operation, and low noise levels.

Full Automation

The Smart Tester conducts measurements autonomously, from taking a water sample to emptying the measuring cuvette, making it ready for the next test. A one-time calibration after installation is all that is required, thanks to the auto-calibration system for metering pumps. This ensures long periods of trouble-free operation and high precision dosing.

Modern Device Installation

To cater to aquarists’ needs, we have enhanced the method of installing equipment in the tank. The latest Reef Factory equipment features an innovative mounting system based on DIN rail, providing a convenient and customizable solution that helps keep your cabinet organized.

Dedicated Smart Tester Reagent Packs

To measure a specific parameter, you will need to purchase a set of dedicated reagent cartridges for the Smart Tester:

Mg – Measurement of Magnesium

• Number of tests from one set: ~50 (the number depends on the concentration of Mg ions)
• Measurement range: 800-1800 ppm
• Measurement resolution: 10 ppm
• Test duration: ~40-60 min

PO4 – Measurement of Phosphates

• Number of tests from one set: 160
• Measurement range: 0.00-3.00 ppm
• Measurement resolution: 0.01 ppm
• Test duration: ~40 min

The range of Reef Factory Smart Tester reagent pack cartridges will be expanded over time with additional test kits for relevant aquarium parameters.

To fully utilize the features of the Smart device from Reef Factory, you need the free Smart Reef app, which can be installed on your phone (Android, iOS) or accessed through your browser.
