Stability – 100ml
Seachem Stability – 100ml is designed to quickly and safely establish the aquarium biofilter in both freshwater and marine systems. This product helps to prevent the leading cause of fish deaths, commonly known as “new tank syndrome.” Stability® utilizes a carefully formulated blend of aerobic, anaerobic, and facultative bacteria that work together to break down waste organics, ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate.
One key advantage of Stability® is that it contains non-sulfur fixing bacteria, which means it does not produce harmful hydrogen sulfide, unlike some competing products. This makes Stability® completely safe for all aquatic life and plants, so you do not have to worry about overusing it. This product is the result of nearly ten years of research and development, representing cutting-edge technology in natural biological management.
Why It Is Different
The bacteria found in many competing products tend to be unstable. They require very specific conditions for growth, such as narrow ranges of temperature and pH. If these conditions are not met, the bacterial culture can crash and die. Stability® does not rely on such bacteria.
The bacterial strains used in Stability® have been developed over more than a decade. They thrive under a much broader range of conditions. While other bacterial strains may die off due to high organic loads—often caused by undiscovered dead organisms—Stability® continues to function effectively and even grows faster. These strains are suitable for both fresh and saltwater environments. Stability® uniquely combines both nitrifying and denitrifying bacteria, which is not found in other products. Additionally, it includes facultative bacterial strains that adapt to either aerobic or anaerobic conditions. Another significant innovation is that the bacteria in Stability® are non-sulfur fixing, eliminating the risk of toxic hydrogen sulfide formation.
Directions
For best results, use 1 capful (5 mL) for every 40 liters (10 gallons) on the first day of setting up a new aquarium. After that, use 1 capful for every 80 liters (20 gallons) daily for a week. You can introduce fish and other aquatic species at any time as long as you maintain the dosage for the full 7 days. To ensure optimal biofilter performance, use 1 capful for every 40 liters (10 gallons) once a month, with each water change, or whenever you are introducing new fish or medicating the aquarium.
