Product Description

Seachem Stability is designed to quickly and safely establish the aquarium biofilter in both freshwater and marine systems, helping to prevent the most common cause of fish death known as “new tank syndrome.” Stability® is formulated specifically for aquariums and features a unique blend of aerobic, anaerobic, and facultative bacteria that aid in breaking down waste organics, ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate. Unlike many competing products, the bacteria used in Stability® do not fix sulfur and will not produce harmful hydrogen sulfide. This product is completely safe for all aquatic organisms and plants, meaning there is no risk of overuse. Stability® represents nearly a decade of research and development, showcasing the latest advancements in natural biological management.

Why It Is Different

The bacteria used in many competing products are often unstable. Their growth and effectiveness depend on a very narrow range of conditions such as temperature, pH, and organic loads. If any of these factors fall outside the ideal range, the bacterial culture can quickly perish. In contrast, Stability® does not rely on these unstable bacteria. The bacterial strains in Stability® have been meticulously developed over the past decade to thrive in a much broader range of conditions. When other bacteria begin to decline—often due to high organic loads from an undetected fish death—Stability® simply works harder and multiplies faster! This product functions effectively in both fresh and saltwater environments. Stability® includes both nitrifying and denitrifying bacteria, a combination that is not found in other products. Additionally, it contains facultative bacterial strains that can adapt to both aerobic and anaerobic conditions. Another significant advantage of the bacteria in Stability® is that they do not fix sulfur, which is a common issue with many other bacterial supplements that can lead to the formation of toxic hydrogen sulfide. Stability® will never produce such toxins.

Directions

For best results, use 1 capful (5 mL) for every 40 L (10 gallons) on the first day of setting up a new aquarium. After that, continue with 1 capful for every 80 L (20 gallons) daily for a total of 7 days. You may introduce fish and other aquatic species at any time, as long as the dosage is maintained for the full week. To ensure optimal biofilter performance, it is recommended to use 1 capful for every 40 L (10 gallons) once a month or with each water change, as well as whenever you introduce new fish or medicate the aquarium.
