The phosphates bond strongly to the Elimi-Phos or Elimi-Phos Longlife granules, ensuring they are never released, even after the granules reach full adsorption capacity.

Both products quickly reduce phosphate levels in your tank, with Tropic Marin Elimi-Phos Longlife maintaining its phosphate-removing properties for an extended period. Besides effectively removing phosphates, Tropic Marin Elimi-Phos and Tropic Marin Elimi-Phos Longlife can replace activated carbon and enhance the overall water quality in your aquarium.

Although Tropic Marin® recommends regular water changes to prevent the accumulation of undesirable compounds, consistent use of Tropic Marin® Elimi-Phos or Tropic Marin® Elimi-Phos Longlife is essential for maintaining the highest water quality in your aquarium.

To use, place 100 g (3.5 oz.) of Tropic Marin® Elimi-Phos or Tropic Marin® Elimi-Phos Longlife per 200 l (50 US-gal.) of total aquarium system water volume into the tank, positioning it in the filter or an area with strong water circulation.

It is advisable to make any changes in your aquarium environment gradually. If the organic load is particularly high, start with 100 g (3.5 oz.) of Tropic Marin Elimi-Phos or Tropic Marin Elimi-Phos Longlife per 500 liters (130 US-gal.) of system volume, and then slowly increase to the recommended amount. This approach will provide your more sensitive plants and animals with a smooth introduction to the improved water quality.

For optimal performance, mix and rinse the granulate briefly under running water once a week. Tropic Marin Elimi-Phos and Tropic Marin Elimi-Phos Longlife can remain in the aquarium even after reaching their adsorption capacity. When phosphate levels begin to rise again, replace the granules according to the dosage guidelines provided above.
